Sweetest Pin - Ampersand Cord Cover

This lovely little detail just stole my heart when I saw it.

This sweet bedroom for her daughter's room, has so many thoughtful details.  This one is so creative.

I don't know if you are like me, but when I have seen a picture or clock that needs to be plugged in while out shopping, I typically keep walking.  But, Kristin with the Hunted Interior, embraced the cord and better yet, celebrated it.

Wrapped in pink yarn, and then held in place by small nails this cute wavy cord makes the perfect statement in this sweet little girls room.  And the pig on top (My favorite animal) makes it perfect!

Stop by and show her some love!

Sweetest Pin - 4th of July Mason Jars

4th of July

The cutest idea I have seen for the 4th of July in a long time!  These decorated mason jars by
are painted perfectly as an American flag.

These are so cute for silverware holders for 4th of July parties, cute straw holders, napkin holders and much more- these will be the perfect table setting for your event.

Great for Memorial Day, Voting Days, or anytime you are feeling patriotic.

Do you have a 4th of July craft you would like to share?  I would love to see it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Teacher Appreciation Gift- Summer Relaxation Kit

Teacher Appreciation Gift

To celebrate the end of the school year, and thank my daughter's teachers I scoured Pinterest for an idea.

I saw some amazing ideas, and finally settled on this idea.  Inspired by this cute idea:

I put my own spin on it.  With limited time, I only had one place I could make a stop.  I decided on my local Fry's grocery store knowing they must be stocking up on Summer items.

Thinking of what would be useful, what would be fun, and what are some of the teachers favorite things, I went hunting.

To hold all of the goodies, I used a bowl for serving food by the pool or eating popcorn (a package of microwave popcorn included), gum, candy, a fun magazine for relaxing, plates and cups to use by the pool, napkins for entertaining and tea for making iced tea, or providing relaxation.

I went on PicMonkey and found this cute school house font, and gave it a background and label to complete the gift.

I would love to hear your thoughts! What is something you gave to your child's teacher as an appreciation gift?

Thank you!
Kari

An Ice Cream Party - Party Prep!

Yikes, it has been awhile since I have posted.  May has been a crazy month!  The girls get out of school today, and I am planning an Ice Cream Party for my youngest daughter who is turning 6 in a couple of weeks!

Since her birthday falls on Memorial day weekend, I decided I would do her party early while her classmates are in town.

I didn't realize between end of year teachers gifts, end of year class parties, working, a funeral, and mother's day, that this would be such a chaotic time for a party!

I wanted to give you a sneak peek of our Ice Cream party table.  The party is tomorrow, and I still have lots to do.

I am attempting to make "ice cream" cupcakes in cones for birthday cake.  Like this one.

All the blogs say it is fairly easy.  Wish me luck!

Please check back soon.  I will share my inspiration and the party details with you!

How to Make a Hairbow & Headband holder- Ribbon tutorial

I have created a Hairbow/Headband Holder for my daughter's room and I am thrilled to share a tutorial on One Artsy Mama.

I wanted to give you a sneak peek of my project.

I have two daughters and they have quite a collection of bows, headbands and hair accessories they have accumulated over the years.  Getting ready for school in the mornings are a bit crazy, and trying to find a hair bow or headband in time to get off to school is difficult.

I created this hairbow/headband holder to wrangle all of their accessories!

Please check out Amy at One Artsy Mama for the full tutorial!  Please let me know you stopped by!

This was a super easy project, and just by changing up the colors and embellishments, you can change the look easily!

Sweetest Pin - New Life for this Forgotten Interior Space

I was exploring Pinterest, and I was moved by this beautiful, yet haunting photo of this long forgotten interior space.

The beautiful detail of this room in the ceiling and large windows allowing all of the natural light to come through is stunning.  It is fun to imagine what this room would have been like in its glory.
